Registration for these and all other employee volunteering campaigns has been taking place at Audi since 2021 via a digital volunteering platform. This makes it easier for employees to get involved, enables continuous access for participating social institutions and creates transparency about existing projects. These include, for example, renovation campaigns at daycare centers, excursions with senior citizens or support for people with disabilities. In addition to various volunteering opportunities for individual employees, there are also team campaigns in which entire departments or teams can get involved for a good cause.

Every two years, Audi organizes a cross-site “Audi Social Day” on which employees at all international production sites volunteer together for one day. In 2025, around 1,100 employees came together in more than 100 projects.
“Volunteering is an essential part of our corporate citizenship activities, with which the company assumes social responsibility as a good neighbor at its production sites worldwide,” says Ute Röding, Head of Corporate Citizenship. But the volunteers themselves also benefit: “Those who get involved think outside the box, get to know new people, acquire new skills and grow personally.”
Voluntary engagement makes an important contribution to cohesion in our society, it creates exchange and community.

For this reason, Audi not only promotes voluntary work with its own projects, but also supports employees who are privately involved in organizations or social institutions: During the annual “Team Spirit” fundraising campaign, employees involved in volunteer work can champion a donation to an association or organization of their choice. There is a different theme for each “Team Spirit” campaign. In 2024, for example, almost 60 organizations received a total of 100,000 euros for projects promoting cultural diversity at the suggestion of employees, while in 2025 the focus will be on instilling values in young athletes. This way, the fundraising campaign covers a large number of societal topics, from sports and culture to education. Donations are selected on the basis of the Support Guidelines for Corporate Citizenship at Audi.
There is a long tradition of voluntary work at the Four Rings. in 2012, the company organized the first Volunteer Day under the motto "Audi Volunteers,” on which employees volunteered for social projects in the regions where the sites are located. Since then, what started out as a one-off event has developed into a large, continuous portfolio of diverse offerings. And Audi employees will continue to demonstrate a strong desire to support children, senior citizens and disadvantaged individuals in the future too.
To establish guidelines for the very different forms of charitable commitment, Audi pursues an international corporate citizenship strategy. The company focuses here on the three guiding principles Engage, Educate and Empower.
To implement activities at the various locations, those responsible ensure, among other things, that help and commitment reach precisely those areas where they are most urgently needed. At the same time, all parties involved benefit from close networking and the opportunity to share their knowledge.
