Name: Julia Weissberger
Degree course: Mechatronics
Position: Service Technology Officer (formerly a student in Audi dual study engineering degree course StEP)
At Audi since: 2008
How I came to Audi:
In 2008 I took my final secondary school exams at the Donau-Gymnasium Kelheim, focussing on mathematics and natural sciences. Audi has fascinated me for a long time – initially because of the design of the cars and now of course because of the technology involved as well.
My outstanding experience:
In my very first year of training, I had a fascinating job under the Audi StEP-programme: developing control electronics for a robot to simplify the construction of test engines. It was a great feeling the first time the robot followed my programmed routine perfectly.
What I particularly like about working at Audi:
The variety: training, studies and the opportunity to get to know various departments and gain an insight into many areas at Audi.
The combination of theory and practice: in the course I learn about the background of something I later put into practice in the workshop.
Working in the team: we work together on interesting projects.
I have since started my first job in the Service Technology Complete Vehicle Reporting, Service Systems department. I am working to develop IT systems for Service and am responsible for a variety of reports about Service Technology.
