Name: Michael Ptacek
Degree course: Electrical Engineering
Position: Participant in International Trainee Programme
At Audi since: 2009
How I came to Audi:
During my degree course in Electrical Engineering at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, I gained some work experience in Sweden and Canada. In 2007 I started my Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) at the Technical University of Munich. I wrote my final paper in 2009 at Audi. The extremely positive experience I had during this time at Audi was also one of the main reasons why I applied for the International Trainee Programme at Audi.
My outstanding experience:
I worked on the power electronics for the Audi Q5 hybrid quattro. That’s the world’s first premium SUV to be offered as a full hybrid in the B segment. An experience that will not only help me progress in my career but one that will remain a personal highlight for a long time.
What I particularly like about working at Audi:
The International Trainee Programme at Audi may run for only one year but in those twelve months you can have countless fascinating experiences. For example, we trainees are also involved in Audi’s social projects and the camaraderie is fantastic. Here I made 25 new friends in one fell swoop.
