There are opportunities to do this in the different areas of our company's operations, such as technical development, planning, production or quality assurance.

Bachelor of Engineering, mechanical engineering course

Mechanical engineering is involved today where practically all industrially manufactured everyday products are concerned, such as cars, electronic equipment or tools.

Mechanical engineering integrates technologies and turns basic developments into marketable products. Mechanical engineers, therefore, work in many different areas, such as the planning and calculation of equipment, instruments and machines. Their assignments in this context include the selection and development of materials, the design of mechanical equipment – taking the principle of economically viable production into account – and the planning of production lines. The wide range of different areas in which mechanical engineering is involved is a constant challenge to engineers – this profession requires comprehensive, up-to-the-minute know-how about mechanics, automation technology, data processing and management, for example.

The content of your course

In this course, you receive the theoretical and practical basis for successful completion of the many different assignments required in connection with the development and maintenance of machines and equipment. The emphasis in the first phase of the course is on design theory, consisting of the basic subjects of mathematics, mechanics, thermodynamics, materials and manufacturing technology. The main phase of the course focuses on application of the fundamentals to machine design.

Bachelor of Engineering, mechatronics course

Mechatronics is the ideal combination of the classic subjects of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology. Since technical progress depends on greater and greater integration and miniaturisation of mechanical and electrical elements coupled with programmable "intelligence", mechatronics has become extremely important in the meantime.

An interdisciplinary approach in the form of mechatronic systems is encouraged by the integration of basic mechanical, electronic and computer science know-how. Such an approach is essential in order to find innovative solutions to problems that would not be conceivable in the same form if considered in isolation from the more limited angle of the individual disciplines.

The content of your course

In addition to the general natural science basics, the curriculum of the mechatronics course consists to equal extents of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. The topics include CAE techniques, digital technology, software engineering, microcontroller technology, control engineering, regulation engineering and communication technology.
