Name: Makrányi László
Degree course: Quality Engineering
Position: Manager in Quality Management
At Audi since: 2002
How I came to Audi:
My name is László Makrányi. I’m a manager in the Quality Management area. I started as an intern at Audi Hungaria and then continued my career as an engineer and subsequently as a manager. I’m responsible for the quality of bought-in parts i.e. parts that we do not make ourselves. It’s often a huge challenge on a technical, social and communication level to obtain the correct number of parts and the top quality we require. As I love a challenge, I feel very comfortable in this role.
My outstanding experience:
For many years I’ve been involved in processes for optimising the acoustic properties of cars. No matter where I am in the world – if I happen to see an Audi TT, I always feel good inside as it consists of parts that we have perfected. It was a great honour for me when colleagues who were developing the second-generation Audi TT asked me to help them in their work and bring in my own ideas. Those are my magic moments.
What I particularly like about my job:
I’m proud to play my part in our plant’s growth. The challenge is to remain focused and pay attention to detail when helping to extend the supplier base. Our goal for the future is to continue to strive for premium quality and complete reliability in our working relationships. Because that’s what Audi is all about!
