Audi V8 L, 1993
The Audi V8 was presented to the public at the 1988 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle was built at the Neckarsulm plant. The V8 was the only saloon vehicle in the luxury class to be able to boast permanent four-wheel drive. The long-wheelbase versions were nearly all built by Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Graz, Austria on a subcontract basis. After 245 V8 L vehicles had been built with 3.6- and 4.2-litre engines, production ended before that of the standard saloon in 1994.
