We live openness

"For us, collaboration means thinking, talking, actively contributing and breaking new ground together."
― Angela Knuth, Works Council

Progress means always being one thought ahead. I stand for appreciation and respect in our interactions with each other. This way, we allow new ideas to grow, tackle tasks together and actively shape the future.

As a member of the Works Council, one of my main tasks is standing up for the interests of my colleagues at the site. Economic goals are not the only thing that need to be taken into account – the people and their daily working conditions have an especially high priority.
This change of perspective also enables progress, because it allows us to involve the workforce in many development processes. We take them and their know-how seriously. After all, the people who work at Audi constitute the basis for new ideas and for our shared future, which we can actively help shape.
I notice every day that these principles are very much appreciated by my colleagues. Every glowing bit of feedback or thank you from an employee is proof of that.

"New ways of thinking don’t bother us. Old ways are more likely to do that."

We at Audi are united by our mindset – the way we work together as a team at all locations around the world. We treat each other fairly and with respect. And we are open to new people and new ideas. I am constantly experiencing how this enriches us and helps us advance.
I have seen time and again during my assignments abroad that these shared values are not just words on paper, but are lived out in practice. I have worked in ramp-up support in production for every model change in Changchun since 2004, as well as twice in San Jose Chiapa for the production ramp-up of the Audi Q5. The way we work with our Chinese and Mexican colleagues is outstanding. Even after work, we often do something together and you get to know the culture and people better. What better way is there to express community?
This is why I believe we are well-equipped for the big transformation facing the automotive industry.
