Audi assumes responsibility – far beyond the company’s boundaries. We demonstrate a strong social commitment at all of our sites and we want to do what we can to help each individual region continue to develop.
Every Audi Group site has its own identity and its own requirements. Local corporate citizenship can therefore have various different focal points. Audi has defined global principles for corporate citizenship as a guideline. These help in the selection and design of targeted site development measures and clarify the shared understanding that runs like a common thread through the various measures at the corporate sites.
The Company supports its employees in their volunteer efforts through the “Audi Volunteers” initiative. Entire departments perform volunteer work in social institutions as part of team projects. And during the Volunteer Days in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Győr, our employees combine their skills with their service to others. Corporate citizenship is also writ large at the sites outside Germany. In San José Chiapa, Mexico, for example, an orchestra for children and youth from the region was founded.
Promoting education and science
Audi works together with many national and international universities to shape reciprocal knowledge transfer. In addition to research projects and scientific lectures, Audi employees teach at universities, for example. Audi contributes towards extending research and teaching into new fields through endowed professorships.
