Audi has been a supporter of regional, national and international sports for decades. From soccer and motorsports and sailing to golf and winter sports.
Many race cars from the history of Audi Sport are icons today. The current line-up includes race cars for FIA Formula E and customer racing, as well as the development for Dakar and Le Mans.
Since 1981, Audi Sport has stood for “Vorsprung durch Technik” in international racing. The engagement in 2021 consisted of Formula E and customer racing. Audi enters the Dakar Rally for the first time in 2022.
This vehicle is the Rally Dakar vehicle that is not available as a production model.
As the GT3 version, the Audi R8 LMS is the top product in the Audi Sport customer racing programme. Victories at important endurance races and worldwide titles are all part of its success.
GT3 racing is a worldwide category in customer racing. On national and international levels, the sports cars based on road-going models provide exciting sprint and endurance racing competition.
After seven successful years Audi left Formula E: with two title wins, 14 victories and 47 podiums in a total of 84 races with all-electric drive.
Audi competes as a factory team in Formula E, which is a FIA world championship for the first time in 2021. The technical centrepiece is the new electric drivetrain and the Audi MGU05.
The models from Audi Sport customer racing enable the targeted promotion of young talent. The customer drivers Milan Dontje and Dennis Marschall were successful in their rise as racing drivers with Audi.
Twelve races within 23 days for three Audi factory drivers: René Rast, Robin Frijns and Nico Müller with continuous work in DTM and Formula E.
