Audi Sport GmbH’s most powerful SUVs: The new RS Q8 performance and the updated RS Q8

Audi is rounding out the Audi Q8 model range, not only with the new RS Q8 with an output of 441 kW (600 PS) but is adding a new, second version to the top model in the series: the RS Q8 performance . Its increased output of 471 kW (640 PS) makes the SUV the most powerful series-produced combustion model in the history of Audi Sport GmbH. Both vehicles boast outstanding driving dynamics thanks to an optimized, self-locking center differential while guaranteeing an equally impressive suitability for everyday use. The exterior of the RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance take their cues from the recently upgraded Q8. New equipment packages allow more freedom for customization. The new Audi RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance will be launched in June of this year. Prices start at 141,900 and 155,700 euros.

Strong in design, comfort, and technology: The revised Audi Q7

combination with the digital OLED rear lights, which are available for the Q7 for the first time, the premium-class character of the model becomes even clearer. Customizability at its best: Headlights and rear lights High-intensity LED headlights light up the road in the Q7 as standard; Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. HD Matrix LED headlights with the Audi laser light are also available. They work with 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode each and are immediately recognizable via a blue ambient light incorporated into the headlights that symbolizes the precision of laser technology. The laser light becomes active above 70 km/h (43.5 mph) and significantly increases the high beam range. New for the top-of-the-range headlights are digital daytime running light signatures. They give the Q7 its characteristic and unmistakable appearance by allowing the user to select one of four various light signatures via the MMI. However, not just the headlights’ extended range of functions

    Dakar Rally

against the clock, and 7,883 kilometers in total, the Audi RS Q e-tron ultimately won with a lead of 80 minutes. The Dakar victory with an electric drivetrain was the next in a long line of milestones that Audi has set in motorsport. The successes of the quattro all-wheel drivetrain in rallying and circuit racing in the 1980s and 1990s, the victories of the efficient TFSI, TDI and e-tron quattro drivetrains at Le Mans, individual technologies such as the LED matrix light system or the Audi laser light in endurance racing, as well as titles and victories of Audi’s first electric racing car in Formula E, stand for technological and sporting masterpieces. Audi Motorsport History - 1982: Audi clinches the Rally World Championship for Manufacturers

Successes spanning more than a century

electric drive concepts Sustainability does not only play an important role in the premier class of motorsport. The company began electrifying its motorsport program in endurance racing in 2012. With the first victory of a hybrid racing car at the Le Mans 24 Hours, Audi achieved a pioneering feat at the world’s most important endurance race in 2012. The Audi R18 e-tron quattro remained unbeaten three times in a row at Le Mans in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Many other innovations such as the Audi laser light complement the pioneering technical achievements. Drivers and manufacturers titles with the hybrid sports car in the 2012 and 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) complete the Audi sports car era, which ended in 2016. Following the LMP program with the R18 hybrid sports car, Audi was the first German car manufacturer to compete in the all-electric Formula E racing series in the 2017/2018 season. With four victories and a total of eleven podium finishes, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler clinched

a total of 13 victories for the four rings. Proving new technologies The prototypes were also pioneering in many other areas: the digital rear-view mirror with the AMOLED system improved visibility for drivers and today helps to reduce the frontal area of cars in large-scale production. This makes it possible to increase the range, which is particularly important for e-mobility. The Audi R18 also featured full LED headlights with matrix light functions for the first time. From 2014, Audi laser light complemented the innovations in the area of light and visibility and is now also one of the lighting technologies offered for production models. Highlights Images
