After his time at Mercedes AMG HPP, Fuhr held senior international management positions: At GROHE AG in Düsseldorf, he served as COO starting in 2013, later as Deputy CEO, and from 2019 to 2022 as Co-CEO. Beginning in 2020, he was also responsible for the global operations of a product division of the LIXIL Group in Tokyo. This was followed by roles as CTO at Uponor in Helsinki and, most recently, as CTO of Georg Fischer Building Flow Solutions in Switzerland. There, he led complex international organizations in research and development, production, operational performance, and technological innovation.
With his move to Audi Formula Racing in Neuburg, the German is returning to Formula 1. Fuhr is married and has two children.
