Development opportunities

"What counts with us is not just what you are. But also what you can be."
― Dennis, Lean Office Facilitator and Training Administrator
At Audi, everyone has the opportunity to develop and to drive their own change, even across departmental and divisional boundaries. Sometimes the road is rough and it takes a long time because the tasks or even the general parameters change – I experienced that, too. After my apprenticeship as a tool mechanic, I gained a lot of experience in various areas, including in the press shop, in the body shop and now in quality assurance. Within these stations, I always had the opportunity to prove myself, to take on new tasks and to develop personally and professionally. An important step for me: training to become a Bachelor Professional of Metal Production and having the full support of the management and colleagues.
"If we stop getting better, we stop being good."
― Buenyamin, IT Product Manager
I started out in the production department at Audi.I prepared the body for every vehicle you have seen at a world premiere. Then I saw a notice about the Digital Shift while I was in the canteen one day. And I thought to myself: I’ll try that now. I enjoy changes. People change during the course of their lives. Their interests change too. I see it as a great opportunity to work in a company where I have so many further development possibilities.
All of us here always have to be up to date. Technically and in thinking. With innovative collaboration tools, we work together faster, better and more flexibly, no matter where we're working from. Whether we're at home, in the car or in another city, we make sure we're all working closely networked. And share and network not only data and servers, but also our ideas, knowledge and team spirit.
The most important components for success?
The people in our teams. Team lead is not just a title for us, but a task. The task to create an environment in which everyone develops to the best of their abilities. Ideas for personal development, perspectives for the future and the individual support of talents.
A company is only as good as its employees. Constant further training is therefore extremely important to us.
At Audi we offer a wide range of further training opportunities.

Learning at Audi – Fascinating Facts and Figures on Training and Development at the Four Rings
Learning something new has always held great importance and tradition at Audi. Why? Because only qualified and motivated employees secure our “Vorsprung durch Technik” and make a real difference for the mobility of tomorrow. Especially in times of transformation, targeted qualifications and the right development opportunities are essential.
Learning and continuous development have been firmly anchored at AUDI AG for decades. The Audi Academy plays a central role in this, combining all knowledge , behavior and culture shaping responsibilities — from vocational training and professional development to cultural transformation, Diversity & Inclusion, and scientific collaborations. Over the past two years alone, AUDI AG has invested more than 275 million euros in the training and development of its employees.
To make learning future ready, AUDI AG relies on a continuously expanding digital learning ecosystem. The Audi Learning Experience (Audi LXP) serves as the central access point, bringing together learning content from all internal and external providers. This offering is complemented by targeted reskilling and upskilling initiatives that prepare employees for the strategically important capability areas of the future — such as digitalization and electrification.
The formats offered within the Audi LXP are diverse, including live online trainings, e learning modules, and courses available on various learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning or Speexx. Based on individually defined skills, employees can filter and access the learning opportunities most relevant to them.
At Audi, supporting employees’ personal development plays an important role, for example through educational leave, temporary release from work with a re-employment guarantee, or through the awarding of Audi employee scholarships. The company offers these for specific degree programs in strategically important future fields. These degree programs are reviewed annually and updated as needed.
In 2025, AUDI AG recorded around 11,000 participations in re and upskilling programs. E learning formats were not included in this figure. Approximately 3,000 of these participations focused specifically on the topics “AI – Artificial Intelligence” and “Microsoft 365 Power Apps.”
Audi continuously adapts its dual study programs, trainee programs, and vocational training to future oriented topics and the company’s strategic direction. Even today, roles in the field of digitalization account for more than 25 percent of the entire training portfolio.
As part of its social commitment, AUDI AG is dedicated to fostering a knowledge based society. The company focuses not only on its employees, but also on its customers, business partners, and society as a whole — with particular emphasis on initiatives surrounding Audi production sites. A strong example is the education program “Aprendiendo con Audi México” in the San José Chiapa region of Mexico. Two years ago, fewer than 25% of students in this region completed high school. Today, one outcome is that 40% of students are now pursuing a university degree. As a result, the two year education project “Aprendiendo con Audi México” was recently relaunched in cooperation with the foundation Enseña por México I.A.P., offering more than 900 middle and high school students a multidisciplinary curriculum. In addition, AUDI AG collaborates with numerous national and international universities to help shape progress in research and education.
