Munich
Allianz Arena x Audi e-tron GT

If your gaze turns towards Munich because FC Bayern are playing a match on their home turf, then the first thing that you see, in all its glory, is the Allianz Arena. In the full glare of publicity, home to the finest exponents of the beautiful game, it has been a monument to visionary architecture since its completion in 2005. The shadow it casts is long – until the lights come on to signal to football fans from around the world that great things will happen here today.

The architects, Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, accomplished the virtually impossible with their design: marrying the need for thousands of people to enjoy a clear view of top-class sport with a building of almost heavenly grace and elegance. Audi Design faced similarly complex challenges for the Audi e-tron GT: full e-tron power, a high-performance sports car, groundbreaking, effortless design – and yet complete comfort for four passengers.
2021: the Allianz Arena shines red, white and red under the ‘e-tron GT’ lettering. The colours of success, lit up by pioneering lighting technology. Even today – 16 years after its construction – the combination of visionary design and state-of-the-art technology in an architecture that is as functional as it is aesthetically outstanding is a milestone. A temple of the modern game, a clear commitment to progress, a screen on which to project future dreams.
The new, fully electric Audi e-tron GT. Future is an attitude.
